With previous careers in the onboard weighing, truck OEM, and software engineering industries, the founders of AppWeigh recognized this could be achieved. Tim Taft
Co-Founder | Chief Engineer

Tim Taft has 17 years of experience in design, manufacturing, and engineering management. With over 15 years working at PACCAR and then Kenworth Truck Co., Tim brings a deep understanding of truck and trailer systems to the SKT Technologies team. His primary experience is in powertrain electrical systems including engine, transmissions, antilock brake systems, stability controls, adaptive cruise, and tire pressure monitoring.

Kelly McBeain
Co-Founder | COO

Kelly McBeain has over 30 years of software development experience. His expertise draws largely from his time as the lead software developer on key enterprise, business critical applications at Intel Corp., where he oversaw the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development and deployment. Kelly has also had contract engagements with other large-scale organizations such as Safeway, Walt Disney Co., and Cisco. Kelly’s passion and comprehension of IoT lends itself well to the ongoing efforts at SKT

Scott McCulloch

Scott McCulloch’s experience stems from over a decade of overseeing new product development and leading international business development efforts within the commercial transport industry. He has had extensive involvement facilitating development projects from conception to completion, including the development of AppWeigh, SKT Technologie’s flagship product utilizing Bluetooth and smartphone technology to send pressure and weight data to the Cloud. Scott’s in-depth industry background has contributed to his strong understanding of the vital role technology must play in today’s successful transport organizations.
